"Scrubber Warning"

in Portuguese?

A scrubber is something like a filter for which we have a translation (filtro). What's that scrubber for? You can specify that saying filtro de ... . Since your very into rebreathers is that de CO2 scrubber? That would be something like filtro de CO2. Although I think most of us get so accustomed with the english expressions that we prefer them to some weird portuguese translations.
Are you goins to use that in a manual ou an electronic device? I think it could be something like "Aviso do filtro de CO2" if it's in a text or in a shorter version "Aviso filtro CO2", "Aviso filt CO2" or even "Aviso CO2"...

Isso é por causa do Evolution??
Quando é que começam a chegar?
Acho que mais correcto seria "Aviso Mudança Scrubber" "Aviso Limite Co2 atigido"

Um Scrubber neste caso é um "Permutador".

Não sei se fará muito sentido "Aviso do Permutador".... Há coisas que não têm tradução, mesmo na engenharia há coisa que ou se substituem por um frase representativa ou se deixa no original.

Desde que haja uma definição de termos se calhar deixava mesmo "Scrubber"

Conforme já foi dito, a palavra "filtro" parece-me adequada para a tradução de "Scrubber"...

Julgo tratar-se do filtro/absorvente de CO2? É isso?

As melhores possibilidades de tradução técnica para português seriam algo como "Aviso de Filtro Colmatado", "Aviso de Mudança de Filtro", "Aviso de Saturação do Filtro" ou "Aviso de Saturação do Absorvente"...

Caso seja em referência aos absorventes de CO2 de Rebreathers, pessoalmente preferia a última tradução...

Também podes optar pela solução "Laurodérmio" e chamar-lhe: "Aviso de Esfregão"!

Eu, definitivamente apostava no "Aviso de Saturação do Absorvente".

Thanks for all the postive feed back. The delay in the release of the Evolution is down to a few issues with its new VISION electronics, the electronics include online deco software which needs to be right from day one or otherwise people will get bent!

The translation is for the VISION electronics, Portuguese will be a language option. My problem is that I only have 16 characters and sometimes Portuguese transaltions can be slightly longer than the English version!

I don't have a date when it will finally be out but until the unit has the CE stamp they will not sell.

(We translated the VR3 instruction manual into Portuguese and will try and get the VR3 software in Portuguese too).

Evolution/Inspiration can only be bought after proving diver has done a recognised course and the word "scrubber" will appear more than once I am know!!

"Aviso Scrubber" é perfeitamente aceitavel.

For those that helped me out - I just wanted to mention that I just received the new VISION dive software from Ambient Pressure. My option runs in Portuguese and does things that make me go "ooooooooh", " woooooooo" and "aaaaaaaaaaah"

O manual em Português do VR3 é este?

Tem alguns pequenos erros que não pondo em causa o todo poderiam ser corrigidos...

Se quiseres dou-te aqui alguns exemplos...

Nope I was actually talking about the new electronics for the Inspitation rebreather. Its got Head up display, mixed gas decompression software linked to redundant PO2 readings, scubber duration meter, MP3, DVD with surround sound!!
